Getting a fatal error when trying to sysprep

I am trying to sysprep, and getting a fatal error. When I went to Panther logs setupact.log I see an error that says:
SYSPREP LaunchDll:Could not load DLL C:\Windows\ehome\ehssetup.dll
An error occurred while running registry sysprep DLLs, halting sysprep execution
WinMain: Hit failure while processing sysprep cleanup providers:hr

I am running sysprep from administrative command prompt, I change directories to the Sysprep folder, then run my command: sysprep /oobe /generalize /shutdown /unattend:e:\unattend.xml

I also stopped the windows media player service: net stop smpnetworksvc

It actually starts running sysprep and then gives me the fatal error. What am I doing wrong?

I have also tried to run sysprep with no unattend file, and also took out the shutdown command, and still got the same error.

Any help would really be much appreciated, I have been working on this for quite a while and feel like I'm not getting anywhere

Would anyone be able to assist me with problem? I have been searching for answers but have not found any information on what I can do to resolve this. I think this might be related to the other issue I had where it gave me a fatal error when I clicked on Audit mode in the Sysprep box. (I had just thought it was because I was already in Audit mode but maybe not).
My registry entries seem to be slightly different as well.

I would be very appreciative of any help,
    Thanks

Most of us here don't use SysPrep because for a consumer forums we find that adjusting the OS to boot on different hardware with the Paragon Adaptive Restore CD is much easier requiring no extensive prep work. Adjust Win7 to boot on new hardware with Paragon Adaptive Restore CD.

You could also ask Kari to look at it in the comments section of SysPrep to move HD to another computer

Thank you for the advice gregrocker. I will be deploying 150 computers, and chose to use Sysprep because I didn't know about using Paragon. I will send a message to Kari.

Easiest is in the tutorial Comments section, which is often used to ask the author for more help: Windows 7 Installation - Transfer to a New Computer
