Did you connect the two 8 pin power connections from the power supply ?

I only see 1 power plug connected to the 690.

That card is screaming for a back plate

I sure would think so, and connect the dvi cord to the top left port on the 690.

And if that still doesn`t work, you`re gonna have to try connecting an HDMI cable from the motherbaord to the monitor, if your monitor has an HDMI port.

According to the link Jack posted your motherboard only has an HDMI or Display Port out.

Break out the video card instructions and read them again and understand them.
Now go through your motherboard manual again and make sure you understand it and follow it.
Remember that you are the eyes and ear for us. We can not see or hear your system.

Greg asked you to reinstall your video card for a reason. You either follow instruction or we can't help you.
Reinstalling your video card allows you to double check that it is seated correctly and in the proper slot for one video card (motherboard manual).
Most problems with a brand new build is how things are installed and or hooked up.

Please verify by the use of your display screen manual that you are hooking it up properly with no adapters if possible.
Can you see your bios screen?
