    Yeah it looks good.

    How is performance?

Are you setting it up as recommended in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which we know will make it stay working perfectly?

Feel free to ask back any other questions as the arise.

You might ask the PC engineer why there's a windows.old folder if he had correctly booted the Win7 media to reinstall.

You should be able to use Disk Cleanup to delete windows old folder. Was the link not sufficient?

Wait til you are sure you have all your files (under C:/Users) before deleting it. There's no real hurry as it won't affect performance.

Have you installed all Important and Optional Windows Updates except Bing? Check again now and then after each reboot until no more are offered

Type msconfig in Start Search box to make sure nothing has snuck into the Startup tab list except your AV. I would use MSE from the tutorial.

Hi,I have installed all updates there were 43 last night, left bing out Have also installed some of my programs printers windows live email MSE malware bytes superantispyware,Microsoft word.
    All the above working well.
Maybe wait for a few days to see how things get on,My plan is when all is working full steam I will be using Macrium reflect to make a backup of the C drive,But I don't want to do that while that windows old is there.
    Thank You.

    Good Day to all.
Just an update on this windows old situation. What I've decided to do is:I have mad a folder on a spare HDD called windows old with the date as today,Then copy all the contents of the windows old that is on the C drive to the new windows old folder on the spare HDD.
Then I can delete the items from the windows old on the C drive and if there is any problems I can easily pass it back from the new folder back into that dreaded windows old in the C drive.
    Does that method sound okay?.
    many Thank You's David.Midday here.
