    Can't boot from DVD when trying to install Windows 7


    Hello,
    i have a problem with instalation of windows 7 ultimate. I put instalion cd in cd rom and restart comp,but instalation won't even start. No showing press any key to boot.. Can you help me?

    What is your boot order set to in the bios ? Do you get an option at post to "change or choose" boot device ? (sometimes you have to press one of the F keys ie. "press F10 to change boot order etc."

    boot order is 1. Cd rom; 2. Hdd then i press save and exit from bios but it is again the same.

    Some Bios settings have an option "allow to boot from other devices" make sure its set to allow

    CD Rom drive must also include DVD because Win7 is on a DVD.

    Where did you get the Win7 ISO and how is it burned?

    Next try setting Hard drive to boot first, then trigger DVD drive using one-time BIOS Boot Menu key.

    You mean you have a DVD drive, right? If not, then DVDs won't work (I suspect Windows 7 couldn't be put on a CD because it's 3gb+). So you need a DVD drive for that.
