Reboot and select proper boot device!
I had dual boot, two hard disks, maxtor and seagate, today morning maxtor failed after 9 years, it prompted an error " hard disk is failing this might be the right time to back your data", i backed up all my data and did dos boot seagate scan which showed failed in all the test for maxtor, then i removed it and destroyed the hard disk and now when i boot my pc from seagate which had windows 7 installation it shows reboot and select proper boot device?
i have tired using windows 7 installation disk, windows 7 os does not appear inside system recovery options and startup fix repair does not do anything, i tried all sets of commands in command prompt but that does not do anything, it shows the specified partition is not a primary or logical volume when i set windows 7 partition as active in diskpart
what to do now ? i dont want to reformat
