win 7 installation help

    win 7 installation help


    i installed windows 7 on a partition of my second hard drive but then that hard drive became teh c drive instaead of the original built in c drive and now i cant change the letter drive to h or something because whwen i try to it says parameters incorrect so

    The partition in which Windows 7 is installed will be shown as "C" and the other partitions will be renamed.

    I don't see this as a problem because you will not use the Windows partition as a storage or backup one, so by renaming it to "C" it basicly becames the primary system partition.

    If you have another OS boot in it, you will see that the letter of the Win 7 partition will be switched back to "H" or whatever name it had.

    This is completely normal and to be expected. Win7 with the RTM final release always sees itself as C: This has no effect on programs or any other drive references.
