Are you using a USB 2 cable?

The driver is provided by Win7 when you plug in the USB cable and power up. You may need to right click the PC in Devices and Printers to enable Hardware Auto-Updating. Watch the animation in System Tray.

Once installed, right click on the Printer in Devices and Printers to see if the scanning utility provided by Windows is to your liking. If not you'll need the full software package for Windows 7 fromhttp://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/printers_multifunction/black_white_laser_multifunction/imageclass_mf4770n selecting the Recommended Downloads to install as Admin.
