"Key is invalid for use in specified state" error

I keep getting this error whenever I try to install a software, be that itunes, axcrypt or even some games like the sims 3.

I've looked it up and everything guides me to a guide saying to delete an update called KB2918614 but after looking... I don't have that update installed. So what could be the cause for this error? None of the problematic softwares have been installed on this PC before so it's not a remnants of files causing the issue.

    Windows 7 64bit.

    Required? No
    There are 3 optionals
    One for microsoft silverlight (KB2977218)
one for ms security essentials kb2310138 (definition 1.185.877.0
and one for razer inc - other hardware - Razer arctosa (that's my keyboard)

Seems to be a rare error.

The only solution I find is here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6492235

If that fails you can work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 which checks over your install so thoroughly it often finds the problem, and you will learn a lot about your Win7.

Did some of your post go missing? I assume you mean I should try installing those optional updates but I'm worried some of your post went missing because of how it seems to cut after "Rare e"

Edit: Nvm saw your fixed post

Edit 2: I'll have to use windows troubleshoot since I already saw that on itunes and itunes isn't the only software I'm having issues with
