Colour calibration screens after Windows logo on install cd.

All my specs are on my profile (this isn't a new computer btw, it's about 2 years old). I've been trying to install windows on my computer after a drive crash (bought a new SSD) and after the initial loading and the windows logo this shows up.
What seems like a RGB calibration screen, a completely white, a grey and a black screen alternate over and over in a loop. This is the only over instance of the problem I've been able to find, but nothing useful came out of it (I have the same screen, but it doesn't seem relevant since it works fine).
I'm currently using the computer in question running Ubuntu 14 (installed off their live CD) and it works like a charm. I have also tried different install CDs and the same problem occurs. The only other thing which seems remotely relevant is that during the bios screen, the aspect ratio is wrong and part of the text is cut off because of it.
Please. Help me SevenForums. You're my only hope.

What happens if you boot to Safe Mode or select Enable low resolution video (640x480)?
If it boots then try installing a different video driver, newest or an older one.

You are describing the initial phases of install, correct, and not after WIn7 is already installed?

Either way work through these steps for Overcoming Windows 7 Installation Failures - Windows 7 Help Forums.

If problem persists try a different monitor, then if that fails try a different video card.
