Do I use these discs to do the Repair Install?

My single HDD machine came with the OS installed and no discs. When I am at the top level I see icons for a C drive labeled 'HP'(588GB), a D drive labeled 'FACTORY_IMAGE'(12GB) - and a E drive labeled 'DVD RW Drive'. After a short time a pop-up appeared directing me to obtain blank dvd discs and proceed to create a software disc to use in the event I needed to reinstall the OS. So, my question is do I use these discs to do the Repair Install?

    -thx

It sounds like you created a set of factory recover discs. They would be used to restore Windows back to factory out of box conditions. :)

Nar, it can't be used for a repair install, but only to do a factory restore.

The disks are provided to do the Repair Install in the tutorial's Warning box, along with tool to burn to disk or stick. Make a bootable installer to use in case of rescue, although the Repair Install is done by running the disk from within Windows as shown.
