    Windows 7 Update SP1 error "80070005"


    I keep getting the Windows 7 "failure configuring windows updates Reverting Changes"

    and error code in updates Windows 7 (KB976932) Update SP1 error "80070005"

    I thought I tried all the fixes, but see it may be a fix I haven't done properly.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I've run Microsoft fix it, ckdsk, disabled firewall and antivirus, clean boot,

    CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2370 @ 1.73GHz
    Motherboard: Gateway
    BIOS Version 89.22
    Memory: 3.00 GB
    HDD: (1) WDC WD5000BPVT-00HXZT3 ATA Device (2) Generic- Multi-Card USB Device
    Sound Card: High Definition Audio Device
    Graphics Card: (1) Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family (2) Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
    OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit 7600 Multiprocessor Free

    See if this helps any. "Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your computer" error when you try to install Windows updates
