Windows 7: Computer cannot detect anything including drivers, etc.

Windows 7 Home Premium
Computer cannot detect anything including drivers, etc.

Here's the story. Recently I was planning on giving away or selling my laptop and with looking up the help on how to erase my entire hard drive, I used Darik's Boot and Nuke to do so. The process was complete and I used the Windows 7 Ultimate for re-installation onto my laptop. It was successful, however, it looked like everything was erased, including my laptop defaults. It cannot read any drivers, I cannot connect to the internet because it can't read any network drivers, my resolution is completely wrong from how it was before and cannot be changed.

Some info on my laptop: It's a 15.6" Acer Aspire 5733z-4477 with Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it. I don't have the re-installation disc for Home Premium, instead I used Ultimate after using DBAN.

What can I do in this case? I have to get it fixed. Thanks

64-bit Windows 10 Pro

Hello thefancyone, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You should be able to download the drivers from Acer at the link below for your Acer Aspire 5733z notebook on another computer, then install them on the notebook to sort this.

Use the Home Premium license which came with the PC to avoid wasting it's $100+ value.

It is provided here along with everything else needed to get and keep a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Pay close attention to how drivers are handled in Win7 as it's a driver-complete OS not at all like XP. These steps are important enough they are printed in red.
