Windows 7 Download tool cannot see my drive

I've never quote seen this problem, but I'm trying to burn the ISO for Windows 7 with the Microsoft download tool, and it can't find the dvd drive. Unfortunately the tool does not give you the option to search for it.

The only thing I can see that might be it is in Device Manager it shows up as a CD-ROM. Yet the drive functions and burns fine. I just upgraded to latest firmware. Drive is Asus DRW-1814BLT.

    Thanks.

Once you have the ISO downloaded, also download ImgBurn and select Burn Image to Disk, browse to ISO file and attach it make sure it lists it as bootable, then burn slowly 4x with Verify.

ImgBurn never fails to burn bootable ISO correctly.

    Thanks!
So the download tool is nothing more than an ISO burner, I guess simplified for people?

I wouldn't know since I only use ImgBurn after learning the hard way.
