    Windows.old

I had the Windows Bata and then I put the Windows Home Premium (Full Version) and it puts in Windows.old and Windows.old.000 which gave me about 25 extra gigs of crap. So I manage to delete the Windows.old.000 which took away about 15 gigs but I don't seem to be able to delete the Windows.old because it wants Admin permissions. Has anyone else experience this? I thought the full version was suppose to format the drive but it only saved everything and added to it giving me 50 gigs and I haven't even added all the drivers yet.

The installation process for Windows 7 is different than previous versions of Windows. In order to format/create/delete/resize partitions, you must select custom install, and then click on drive options (advanced).

If you want to delete the windows.old directory, right click on the c: drive, select properties, then click on disk cleanup. There will be an option in there to remove previous windows installations.
