    Can't install Windows 7 on my ASUS X751MD laptop , not ACPI compaint


    Hello there guys, so i have a brand new ASUS X751MD laptop which had a Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64 bit Windows on it, i wiped all the data from the computer, updated the BIOS to the latest version for this laptop ( BIOS 206 ) but the laptop still gives me the
    "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to perent damage to your computer.
    If this is the first time you're see this stop erre screen, restart your computer.
    If this screen aapears again, follow these steps:
    The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI complaint.
    PLease contact your system rendor for on updated BIOS."
    Blue screen error, please how can i install the windows 7 on this laptop?

    You will need to enter BIOS setup. press f2 at power up.
    Disable secure boot
    change boot from UEFI to CSM
    There should be a section "Choosing OS" change to windows 7
    save and restart
    install windows

    Thanks for your reply but there is no option for choosing OS. I can't even change from UEFI to CSM, CSM is only an option to enable or disable.
    I have CSM on Enabled and Secure Boot on Disabled .
    There are PICS of my BIOS. As you can see there is no "Choose OS" option sadly.

    Try AHCI.

    Are you seeing EUFI choices when attempting to boot the Win7 installation media via the BIOS Boot menu? If not try moving CSM back to Disabled to see if yours is the rare BIOS which doesn't require CSM to install Win7 to UEFI. For example, I was able to shrink Windows 8 and install Win7 as a dual boot under UEFI on an Asus laptop but needed CSM set to disabled.
