Installing Windows 7 on a blank laptop hard drive
Hi All,
New to this so thougth I'd give it a shot. The hard drive on my dad's laptop has failed, this has been confirmed by tech support. He's got a Acer Aspire 5733 laptop and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, confirmed by Acer, I've purchased a new hard drive but need the operating system installing on it. PC world and Acer will not provide me with the a recovery media or something that would lallow me to have the o/s re-installed on it even thoguh I purchased the laptop with it already on and have a valid license key.
Searching through the this forum I have found the following link Windows 7 Direct Download Links, Official Disk Images from Digital River
Will these iso definitley work and when I install will it ask for my windows 7 key? I'm very cagey when it comes to things like these, but I really don't want to spend £50 on a os I already paid for.
