Clean Install ntsf Partition Issue

I just purchased Windows 7 Home Premium, but I am having difficulty installing it. Originally, I had Vista. Eventually, I uninstalled Vista completely, due in part to countless issues, and installed Ubuntu 14.04. As a result, I have two partitions, but they are no longer a compatible format.

I don't care about my current files. Can I simply delete current partitions completely and somehow create a new one for Windows 7 without corrupting anything?

And what about drivers? Should I have purchased a recovery disc as well? Or is everything that is necessary to run win7 available on install disc and/or online?

To sum it up: Will my laptop be forever doomed if I delete all existing partitions pre-install?

The forums has a tutorial used by over a million consumers to get and keep a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7 without a single complaint. Nor has anyone returned with problems who stuck with the tools and methods given.

After you run the "clean" command in Diskpart, you could create one or more partitions then and there, in Diskpart.

But you don't need to and most people don't.

The more common method would be to exit Diskpart after running "clean", going back to the Windows install, and then choosing the size of your install partition when you get to the "where do you want to install Windows" screen. The installer will make a partition in your chosen size and automatically format it and install to it.
