Yes, you have posted those things earlier. Have to sort all the info out, and not get into trouble doing it. Create a new logical data partition after running clean command and copy files into it. Not sure how to do that. Move users folders, will follow your posted link for that. I'll get it figured out.

Thank you, may take me awhile to figure it out.

Didn't forget about coming back here. Reconnected my HDD. since everything working on SSD. Reading through all suggestions again so hopefully will not make any mistakes. I want to again thank everyone for helping me. Not going to mark this solved yet until I'm finished. I will come back when I am, or if more questions. This is all new to me.

Just ask back any questions you have at all.

I have no doubt you can do these things because you're the first to get Macrium Cloning to work correctly in a long time. We had almost given up on it. Maybe when you're done you can write out how you did that successfully because it was failing for almost everyone.

I did clone using Macrium Reflect and Partition Wizard maybe 5 times. What problems do they get when they boot the first time afterwards (with old hdd temporaray DETACHED from system)? Don't say bootmenu, because that can be solved by "startup repair". v4 How to fix common boot problems using the Windows PE (Windows PE) option rebuild BCD can do that job as well.

Just a lot of reports lately that Macrium wouldn't clone. I didn't get into it too deep, just advised imaging. Wolfgang may know more about it as he was in some of the threads.

No secret to the cloning. I'm a novice, no secret there either. I just installed my blank SSD, opened Macrium clicked on my HDD then clicked clone, a window came up and I selected SSD to clone to. Should have said, I have multiple back ups just in case.

    Update on where I am.
Trying to figure out the libraries. While I'm at that, didn't clean the HHD yet. System is running fine from SSD. When I'm feeling up to it going to do everything the same day. I keep a list of the things I want to do and the order in which to do them. Sort of like the step by step directions I asked for in my previous posts.

That's NOT how you did it. Otherwise partition "data" was also cloned. (which doesn't fit of course).
You did cclone 2 partitions i assume (?) And you did a "startup repair" when old HDD was detached. Am I right?

I also said I get confused. I fooled with mini partition wizard before any cloning. Had nothing to do with the cloning at all. Probably should have said, I cloned system and c from HHD to SSD. Sorry.

Yes, I made a restore disk because either you or someone here I think recommended it. Never used it though that I remember.

What did you do with Partition Wizard exactly? Anything that you kept on the new SSD before cloning, or did you actually clone to a blank SSD?

If I remember correctly. I put the SSD in. It didn't show up in disk management. It did show up in Macrium but was just a gray block. I think I followed instructions here as I still have them saved. v5: How to clone a disk (Clone Disk, v5) clone was to a blank disk.

Edit: actually it didn't show up in my computer, disk management it might have, not sure now.
