Things To Do After Installing Ubuntu!

i was planned to install Ubuntu in my desktop, but i'm new to installation to ubuntu, i want to know correct steps to follow in the installation of the os and later instruction to follow.

please help me!

Windows 7 Pro x64 Windows 10 Pro x64

What version did you download ?

You just install it the same as would any other software, then there`s an updater you can run after it`s installed, basically, that`s it.

There`s also a software manager you can go into with programs you can download if you choose to.

Installing onto ubuntu 9.04
I just downloaded windows 7 beta using my sisters laptop and I put it onto a DVD-r and I put it into my desktop which is running Ubuntu 9.04 and restarted it and it took about a minute to try and boot from the disc but it just loads up ubuntu. I really don't know what to do :/
