Cannot boot from CD / DVD: "Press any key to boot from CD / DVD"?

I am trying to boot from an optical disk, and when it gets to, "Press any key to boot from CD / DVD...", I press a key, and it proceeds to boot from the hard drive instead. I have booted from the optical disc before on this machine, so I'm not sure what has changed. I know the disc is good because I'm able to boot from it on another machine. And I'm not able to boot from any optical media on the machine in question.

I know the machine recognizes my USB keyboard because I'm able to enter the BIOS using it. I already have my boot priority set to the optical drive, and I don't think it would even show me the "Press any key to boot from CD / DVD..." screen if it didn't see bootable media in the optical drive.

This is on an ASUS Rampage IV extreme motherboard.

    Thanks!

You could try using Rufus to create a bootable flash drive to install from, see if that makes a difference.
