Cannot upgrade to Internet Explorer 10 (failing updates)

I reinstalled windows after buying a new SSD drive. The computer kept shutting down during updates. Turned out to be that I did a poor job of dusting the computer when I upgraded the drive and the cpu fan just pulled in the loose dust.

I was able to install most updates after much trying but the IE 10/11 ones won't seem to work.

I am getting error code 9c57 when I try.

I installed the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) and have run the scan and attached the logs.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks AddRAM. I was afraid you'd say that. Everything seems to be working fine otherwise, but I suppose there could be more timebombs in there.

This file might have some more things to help figure out if there is a spot fix.

I don't know what aligning the SSD means. I did set up my bios to use the AHCI.

After reading the thread on SSD alignment, SSD Alignment, I think my drive should be aligned as it was a brand new disk and Windows 7 should have set it up properly the first time.

How many days did you allow Windows Update to sort itself out? I'd give it a few more days, Check for Updates daily and install all Important and Optional in case there are some which need to be installed first.

Thank you. It's been a couple of weeks and I've been trying every update.
