System partition deleted and no operating system either.

    no partition to install win on


    I am trying to reinstall win 7, but when i get to the point where I have to choose partition, there is no partition to install win on. And I am not allowed to create any new partitions. Any ideas on how to proceed.

    Work through the steps to Troubleshoot Windows 7 Installation Failures - Windows 7 Help Forums.

    Is this an EFI BIOS? Look in BIOS setup for settings for CSM, Legacy BIOS, EFI, UEFI to enable or Secure Boot to disable. If an EFI BIOS the disk needs to be booted as an EFI device, then delete all partitions to reset the hard drive formatting.
