Windows 7 install on >2TB partition

    Intel S1200V3RPL Board
    1x 3TB SATA

I am unable to install Windows 7 (or even Server 2012) on the entire 3TB partition. In setup, the whole partition is selected however it automatically splits into two partitions with no option but to select one of the two partitions to install on.

I've looked in the BIOS for EFI related settings and tried to boot my windows usb drive each time, no go. I then created an entirely new GPT bootable drive using Rufus, following this guide: UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows and the result when using this newly created GPT bootable drive is a few extra beeps during the post process.

The only BIOS options I could see that had anything related to EFI were:
EFI Optimized Boot (tried both enabled and disabled)
Boot Option Retry (tried both enabled and disabled)

Why not make a much smaller boot partition, like 1GB or so and setup the rest of the drive as a data/storage partition?

... or try this: How to install Windows on 3TB or 4TB and larger HDD

    1 GB

Seriously, Windows can not see the entire 3 TB drive, create a 150 to 250 install partition for windows, I would go with at least 250 since you have soo much space. Partitions have to be no more then 2 TB (1862 GB) for windows to see and use it. Make 1 more partition out of the rest.

    A possible scenario for now.

1 at 250 GB for windows
    1 at 1272 GB

You can always re arrange the non windows partitions again later with Partition Wizard, but for now, just get the job done :)

This makes lots more sense than the other but i figured when he meant 1GB probably was 100.00 GB which is a decent size for a OS but i would just invest in a SSD then break down that 3TB for back up

Are you booting the flash stick as a UEFI device in Boot menu?

If not what are the settings in BIOS setup for CSM, Legacy BIOS, Secure Boot, UEFI or EFI?
