    Jump List not working correctly after re-install

    I had to reinstall my OS after a virus and now I have a problem with the Jump List not working properly, this is the area when you click the start button, (recent programs?), not the 'All Programs' area or the link that takes you to Recent Items.

    The issue is that regardless of how many items I set to display it will only display 1 - if I right click and chose 'Remove from List' then the item does go and the next one appears - so I can only get 1 item to actually display.

    I'm aware of the suggestions to delete the following;

    %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

    and I have tried that without success.

    Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

    Have you right clicked the taskbar to select Properties, then on Start Menu tab adjusted the number of Recent Items to Show in Jump list?

    Did you follow the steps in Clean Reinstall Windows 7 so you know you have a perfect baseline reinstall, without any systemic tweaking that can corrupt the OS?

    Yes, done both of those and no matter what number I set the list to it will still only display 1. I've tried restoring to default settings but that didn't solve it either.

    Please download, run Speccy - Advanced System Information Tool - Windows 7 Help Forums

    Generate a Text report, open the reply box here, click on # icon on toolbar of reply box, paste the report between the tags.

    Then download, install, decline trial and run full scans with Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware,
    report back what they find.

    Next run SFC /SCANNOW Command and report back its findings.

    I was asking you if you specficially followed the steps in Clean Reinstall Windows 7 so we know you have a perfect baseline install. Please confirm which steps there that you didn't follow precisely, or any other than the recommended tools you are using.
