Windows could not apply the unattend answer file's
I am getting this error when I am install Windows 7:
Windows could not format a partition on disk 0 - error code 0x80004005 during a new install of Windows 7. I have tried both Home Premium x64 and Enterprise x64. Both falling into the same error:
I've removed all partition using gparted, and created a single primary partition, but I keep getting that error.
Here is what happens:
PC boots from it, then goes to this screen:
install_step4.jpg (image)
After that, it just starts copying files:
install_step10.jpg (image)
Which means it COMPLETELY skilled these steps:
install_step5.jpg (image)
install_step7.jpg (image)
install_step8.jpg (image)
install_step9.jpg (image)
Which means I can't select which disk or partition I want Windows 7 on.
After about 5 seconds, the error pops up:
Windows coupld not apply the unattend answer file's <DiskConfiguration> setting
Before I removed all partitions, I got this message during installation:
Windows could not format a partition on disk 0 - error code 0x80004005
I then reboot back onto gparted, and find that the installation has copied 100mb onto the single partition.
I've tried everything... I just tested installed XP, and that installed fine.
I've tried googling, but nothing has helped me thus far.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks!
