    Installing Win & over Vista--use Windows Easy Transfer?


    I am helping someone upgrade from Vista. They want a clean install. They have a tiny bit of data and preferences saved on the Vista machine. Is Windows Easy Transfer a good way to transfer that stuff (using an external hard drive)?

    Is Windows Easy Transfer already installed on their Vista machine? (I read someone that it would not be already installed and must be downloaded.)

    There is a newer version on the win7 install DVD ! I saw Darryl Licht post how to do it earlier, I'll have to go find his post !
