whats bad with the ones downloaded? i downloaded them yesterday (they are the latest version available)

Who said anything is bad with them?

They may well be unnecessary because Windows supplies drivers.

If you have some reason to think your downloaded drivers are better as opposed to newer, then install them.

If you think that newer means better, then install them.

User Folders - Change Default Location

Above tutorial is the primary one.

I've never used the tutorial since I don't use user folders.

I would not do that during reinstall as there are problems reported that have resulted. Instead either copy the User folders to the data drive and link them back to Win7 via the Library - Include a Folder - Windows 7 Forums or move the User folders you actually use following User Folders - Change Default Location. I root mine in OneDrive which stores a copy in the cloud which can then sync on my other PC's.

Be sure to read over the steps for doing a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7 since you've already indicated a common mistake about drivers which is all automated in Win7. The steps are important enough to not mess up that they are printed in red. Over 1.5 million consumers have followed that tutorial without a single complaint. You will have a perfect install for as long as you stick with the tools and methods used.

ok i am now in audit mode after installing all drivers (there is no drivers that update has to offer [as i installed them manually])
now what i have is 2 things
1. i have two separate cd drives one is named DVD RW that is my cd/dvd drive and one is named CD DRIVE that when pressed does nothing
2. i have a USB3 card reader and now i see all the inactive slots and they all have drive letters!!
except that it looks fabulous

So did you move your User Folders - Change Default Location, or copy these to the data drive to link to Library - Include a Folder - Windows 7 Forums?

i moved them through properties> location

what i have now is a build in card reader that all the slots got drive letters even when they are empty (no card inside), i know that there has to be a solution for that because before the clean install the did not have a drive letter assigned only when inserted a card
