I am pretty sure that if you want to return to Vista, you must use the Vista installation DVD. In fact according to the EULA, once you upgrade you are not suppose to use that copy of Vista any longer. If it makes you feel any better I am sure that you will enjoy Windows 7, operates like Vista, only better.

    Welcome to Seven Forums.

Usually when you install another OS on a OEM computer the recovery partition can no longer be accessed by the F-key, f11 in your case.
The Vista installation files are still there, some people have found ways to recover them, not sure about HP.

Best way is to call HP and see if they can send you the recovery DVD. Depending on their policy they should send one for free or for shipping fees.

Since OEM have the OS key stored on the computer you can find a HP recovery DVD of the same version, say Home Premium, you can use that to restore Vista to your computer.

    richc46,
If you cease to use the Win7 upgrade on a computer/OS you can legally use the previous OS again.
The OP is using a trial version of Win7, so the original OS license is still valid.

There is a 90 day Win7 Enterprise trial downloadable from MS. You could probably just run it as an Upgrade over your current install. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/e.../cc442495.aspx

If you somehow triggered 3 day activation instead of normal 30 days, you can also run an Upgrade (repair) install over the current install to reset the activation, then just leave it alone until 29 days and rearm. You can get 3 rearms for a total of 120 days.

    Just google.
