Clean Install Of Windows 7 Home Prem

    Hi,

I have had this laptop for a while and my dad got it from ebay running windows 8.1 however I have noticed on the bottom of the laptop there is a sticker for windows 7 home prem product key and was wonder could I use that to do a clean install of windows 7 home prem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Gregg, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Yes, you can use the product key on the COA sticker to do a clean install with. However, you will only be able to activate the clean install on that specific laptop. OEM keys are permanently tied to the motherboard.

Correct, but you will only be able to do so on that laptop since it's OEM. :)

The tutorial Pauly posted above can give you all the details on how to, but basically you would create a bootable USB or DVD installation media.
