Help and questions on reinstalling windows 7

So windows 10 broke my pc and I only get my dell logo and then black screen when I boot up. My machine is a prebuilt and it never came with the windows 7 installation disc.

So I've been trying to find a way to fix this and I saw on amazon this
Amazon.com: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Repair Recovery Restore Re Install Disc

Will this be compatible with windows key thats on the sticker on my pc? And will it be considered a legit version of windows?
I have my Drivers and utilities disc that came with my pc, will that cover everything I need like my network adapated, and whatever I would need to have?

There's little info at that link you supplied, with no indication of what that disc actually has on it or actually does. I'd be quite suspicious.

If you want Windows 10, I'd make a post on the Windows 10 forum (a sister forum to this one). They may well be able to get you up and running on Windows 10.

There is some chance that Dell can supply you with a legitimate recovery disk. It's worth a try to contact them.

If that key on the sticker you are referring to is a 25 character "Product Key", you can try to find the ISO file for your version of Windows 7 on the Internet and then burn that ISO to a DVD and then install from that DVD, activating it with the Product Key.

Or you could borrow a Windows 7 DVD from a friend if it is the same version as yours.

If you have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit English, the ISO you would need to find on the Internet is named "X17-58997.iso". You might enter that into a search engine and see if you have any luck. At one time, you could download that file directly from Microsoft, but those days are gone.

You can download a Windows 10 ISO, create a DVD or flash drive then boot it and get into Repair and rollback the Windows 10 upgrade which should give you Windows 7 back.

Not funny: attempting to download the recovery ISO for my obsolete 5-year old eMachine (EL1333G-01w) with Win-7 Home 64-bit when I enter the "sticker" (MS tag on PC case) Product Key it fails and tells me to contact MS or the vendor. Of course, eMachine no longer exists. So I ran Jelly Bean KeyFinder and it comes up with a different Product Key. That too fails to get the ISO. I still have the recovery DVD's and a backup clone drive, but I would like to get MS to actually follow through with all the bells and whistles they have on their "recovery" pages. I am not new at this hobby, started fixing computers 55 years ago and it seems like every new upgrade or what-not the same stuff happens. I don't remember having all this trouble when engineering main frame systems in the past :) Oh yeah, my obsolete Dell 1545 has the same problems. Wonder if by the tme I get htis fixed it iwll be time for a new Dell laptop with Windows 10 on it? Is that the trick?

    Hi,
    I wouldn't expect a lot for 15.us
I would also contact the manufacture for support,
Or out right buy another oem/ system builders win-7 which is the most straight forward way to get windows
You can probably use your original activation key and just have a spare with the new purchase if you buy the exact same bit and version of windows H-Premium/ Pro/..
