upgrading help

i have home premium vista on my laptop, can i just get a ultimate disk and upgrade straight to ultimate or do i hav to install W7 home premium then ultimate?

Did you executed the Windows 7 Upgrade advisor?
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor
This will report if you can safely install Windows 7.

If so,

You can upgrade straight to Windows 7 Ultimate, recommended is a clean install, see link below:

Yes, upgrade straight to Win7 Ultimate.

You can get the Win7 Ultimate upgrade and install it over your Vista Home Premium.
