Is hiberfil.sys always on the same partition as pagefile.sys?

Is hiberfil.sys always automatically on the same partition as pagefile.sys?

If not: How can I tell Win 7 that it should be this way?

Or alternatively: How can I tell Win 7 that hiberfil.sys should be on partition D: ?

The hiberfil.sys file is always on the same partition as the operating system and it can not be moved to another partition. The hibernate File must be readable by the bootloader, so it must be stored on the primary system partition.

For technical reasons hiberfil.sys must always be on the same drive as the OS. There is no way to change this. Basically the reason is that the file is accessed very early in the boot process when the file system is in a very primitive state and has no capability of accessing other drives.

Pagefile.sys can be moved to whatever local drive or drives you wish.
