NO, im not buying a new disk etc.....90 bucs for a comp that isnt mine, and im certain my sister will sell, if i was able to at least get a HD for it.....let whoever buys it install whatever on it...i can get a HDD for 20-30 bucs, then sell the whole thing and get my money back
Did you add a label to it ?
You also said it was 100gb not 588... gb's done using command prompt ?
What ever use the surface test using mini tool free.
After which if no bad sectors are found and yes it will take for ever to scan that much space :)
Dell must of sent you a lemon install disk
Contact them and confirm if you can send it back for a refund... and go to Amazon and buy that one I posted #41 reply.
It's either that or the disk burner has crapped out
what you see on the picture is what it is...i changed it to higher i thought i told you that.....i followed that tutoRIAL and looked at the ex pics....it says win 7 i cant designate a drive cause its not in the actual comp.
can i download that surface test to my computer then use it on the HD when its connected to it??
Yes just point to that drive it will obviously be detected as windows 7 :/
Run the surface test on it first since that is the portion 7 will be installed on,
But again the issue seems to me either the disk burner has gone sound or the install disk is crap
I would lean to the install disk is crap.
Burners are pretty freaking basic stuff that hardly ever go out as long as you didn't mess with any of the connections to it
Which you should double check to make sure they're secured well and haven't came out a little.
all connections are good i have the case open since i got it its in a secure space and nothing has been changed or touched....dell told me they sent the right disk, its new shouldnt be bad.....if the dvd drive wasnt working right, it wouldnt even let it go that far id think........
Take a picture of the disk they sent you provided the activation key is not stamped on the face of it.
So was it free ?
Otherwise jump right to Amazon and buy the other oem/ system builders disk 90.us.
