Windows 7 in-place upgrade install fails

    Although device manager listed the display adapter as per my system spec, windows was using vgasave driver!

    I uninstalled my display adapter and restarted windows normally, windows detected my display adapter and I now have a working screen....voila!!

    Thank you for your help and advice.

    I now need to sort up the activation codes as windows is telling me it has expired and the 'starting windows' screen is stuck although there is a lot of HDD activity.
