To GoKay
Thank you so much for your patience and time. Everything was going nowwhere, so I popped my computer up to my local computer shop. After explaining everything, he said, "Leave it with me." days a later I got a call from him to collect my computer.
The problem was that one of 4gb memory sticks had simply died. He replaced the memory, reloaded Windows 7 from my ISO, he also downloaded all my updates, all for the cost of 40.00, (Amazon charges 17.00 for 4 gb memory over here).
I considerself extremely lucky on 2 counts.
First, the kindneswss exteded by yourself via these forums.
Second, finding and an unsually honest and probably ultruistic computer repair business.

Kind regards
Struggling (though not so much now)
