You have to apply

then when it says active, sytem & boot . It is done.

Then close the program and restart.

Mine is on different partitions - it is in the status column.

Yours should say active, system & boot on the one partition.

Okay, I just closed it and it restarted automatically. It booted up past the DMI verifying but now I got this: http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...1113090150.jpg
At the bottom it says press enter to continue or press ESC to exit.

I'm not sure if I saw the SYSTEM & BOOT cuz the resolution sucked and I forgot to scroll to the side to make sure.

You need to run startup repair from the 7 dvd . Might take 3 runs.

If you don't have one - d/l the 7 system repair disc from here: get the right bit version - the same as you have installed.

Okay, I put in the CD with that ISO on it. I already got it cuz Avast told me to do it several hours ago. I'm back at the error screen. Should I press ENTER to continue or restart and boot with the CD?

Doing it right now. Sigh.. can't believe all this trouble came from just forgetting one step - allocating partitioned space.

I ran it once and it said it fixed a problem with booting up and said to restart. I did and now my log in screen loaded up! I think it's finally fixed.

Yeah. Even got FireFox up. I didn't have to do this step: http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/w...112092302a.jpg

But oh well, it's working!!

I'm scared to attempt to partition and allocate space to have dual boot up with XP now. This experience has like scarred me haha.

OK, so I've gone back to trying to use Windows 7 as my main OS, and as much as I hate it, I am forced to do so because certain features I need are not supported on XP. As expected, it did a good job of reminding me just why I hate it so much. Here's the thing: I am trying to preformat my hard...
