    Replacing W10 with W7 on a notebook

Just bought a HP Pavilion x 2 Detachable 10-N003NA Notebook which came with W8i as o/s which was not suitable so downloaded the free W 10 which I find very time wasting.I run W7 on my main computer and find it to be excellent for my purpose so is there any way I can replace the W 10 on my notebook with W 7.

It MAY work, depending on available Win 7 or Win 7 compatible drivers for the hardware. You will also have to buy a new copy of Windows 7. If you can ascertain all the hardware has Win 7 drivers you can downgrade. Otherwise stay with Win 10. It only takes a short time to get used to the new OS.

As the HP notebook has no disk function how would I download W7 to the notebook and how would I remove W10 before installing W7.Would it be possible to transfer W7 from my main computer and how would I do that if possible.Have given W10 a fair good trial but to me there is no comparison between the systems and W 7 is by far the best system for me.

You can't transfer Win 7 from your main computer. It is only legally activated for that PC.

Looking at the specs for this unit, I seriously doubt that it would be able to run Win 7. Your best option is to stay with Win 10 now that you have upgraded. Considering the small Atom CPU and only 2GB of RAM, I would have stayed with Win 8.

Good move. There are a limited number of Win 7 laptops still available. But, as mainstream support for Win 7 has been discontinued (no new fixes) best to bite the bullet and go with Win 10.
