    Please help starting Windows 7

I replaced the motherboard on my desktop PC because it had no internet connectivity.

Now Windows 7 Pro will not start. It say "Fixing." I tried restoring to an earlier setup. No luck.

I took it to a repair shop. They said to reinstall Windows.

So I put in the Windows DVD and rebooted.

I selected Custom (advanced) and the main partition, then hit Next.

At the bottom it says "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing partition. See the Setup log files for more information."

Under drive options (advanced) I pressed Format. Nothing happened. I pressed Delete. It read "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk."

Can anyone please tell me to to reinstall Windows?

    Thank you for your help.
