Install of Windows 7 over Windows Vista

    Hello,
When I installed Windows 7 it would't let me upgrade from Windows Vista but forced me to do a completely new install of Windows 7 and moved the Windows Vista into Windows.old. My question is I believe it is safe to delete the Windows.old folder but I was wondering can I delete the Program Files and Program Files(x86) folders too since the programs in those would have to be reinstalled anyway?

The only folder you should delete is Windows.old Follow this tutorial on sevenforums to learn how to do it properly.

You can`t upgrade from Vista to 7.

And it should have asked you if you wanted to save your files, you must have checked yes, that`s how you got the windows.old folder.

    I`d reinstall again.
