New Z97/Win7 64 build - multiple drives, OS won't install
Good afternoon,
I've been avoiding this but after 2 days of trying to get windows installed on any of three drives I am losing it after spending $3000 on a new machine.
First problem - initialling OS on 3 TB HDD after one day it worked, although I am not exactly sure what happened, just clicked next after 40 try's and it worked.
Next trying to install OS on either 2 x SSD's in RAID0 or installing to Intel 750 NVME drive (it shows in Bios and as a boot option). As the Intel doesn't even show up as an option (after loading NVME drivers, or thinking they've loaded). The first problem is to install to the RAID 0
I can get to the point of the choosing drive in Windows install and the classic "setup was unable to create...." message and can't proceed. I have tried the disk part solution unsuccessfully. Wen trying to load drivers I get the MS massage about unsigned 64 bit drivers...
Any help is appreciated
Jon
Phase 2 - I was going through Intels NVME boot pdf and although it contradicts itself in several places I accidentally got the OS to load onto the NVME drive! By loading the 32bit driver instead of the correct 64 bit driver??? How crazy is that.
