Saving Office 2010 Starter When Doing Clean Win 7 Pro Install

I've got a couple of laptops running Win 7 Home Premium. They also have a brain damaged version of Office 2010 installed, Office 2010 Starter... but, the software is fine for my needs.

I want to upgrade these laptops to Win 7 Pro in order to be able to join them to a domain. But, legitimate Win 7 installs are getting hard to find. Those that I have found do a clean install only.

Is there a way to save my Office Starter software such that I can restore it after the clean install?

    TIA

You`d have to find the install software somewhere, shouldn`t be too difficult.

And get your key before you loose it forever.

If you clean install it goes bye bye.

What do you even use Office for ?

There is free software out there you can use instead.

    a) MS Office Starter doesn't have a product key
    b) An extensive Google search finds no source for Starter download that still works.

The Starter English installer is named SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe It may still exist on your PC, usually in c:\Program Data\Microsoft (ad lib) or in the Recovery partition. If you are restoring to factory defaults using the built-in Recovery partition, Office 2010 Starter should be restored automatically. I'm not linking to the correct file, but you should be able to find it with your favorite search engine. My copy's SHA1 hash is cb72d29b27d98f08de4e11ff5a2c9acf79d4ec30 I hope that advice does not breach the community guidelines. Regards.

If you copy of Office Starter came pre-installed on your computer from the factory it was probably a Trial Version and it's time limit could be over.
    Code:
Pre-installed software (also known as bundled software) is software already installed and licensed on a computer or smartphone bought from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

Starter is not a trial version and it still works fine on these Dell laptops. Starter is ONLY Word and Excel. In Word you can display but not create a table of contents, amongst other limitations. In Excel, you can display but not create a pivot table, amongst other limitations.

These laptops are used as big screen display drivers in our conference room and training room... and the Starter office works fine for modifying a few sentences in Word, or adding a couple of lines to a risk register in Excel.

I believe I've found a couple of legit copies of Win 7 Pro upgrades that will leave everything in place.

Thanks to kennetha for the useful location and hash. I'm going to operate on these laptops this weekend.
