what do i install first when installing fresh copy of win 7

basically im wondering do i install drivers off dvd i made with all drivers first before i enable the items like audio or lan in the bios?
or do i enable lan/audio first then after it boots i install the drivers?

    and in what order?
    inf
    audio
    lan
    intel management engine
    etc.

    i have z97 extreme 6

I'd install the inf first, but I wouldn't use a driver's disk unless some of my hardware didn't work as expected. I'd just use the drivers that Windows supplies and see how well that works. If that works poorly for some device, then consider other drivers from your disk or downloads.

Take a look in Device Manager after you have Windows installed with Windows drivers.

The LAN driver is the most important one and I'd make sure I had it downloaded in case Windows did not supply it.

I have never ever gone into the bios and disabled things like you are talking about, you don`t use the bios like that.

As ignatz says, The only driver you really need to worry about is the network (ethernet) driver, which is on the motherboard cd. That way you can download the other drivers from the manufacturers website if you want to, but they too are right there on the cd.

the lan has to be enabled to install the driver for it. same for audio. they should already be enabled by defualt in bios.

I'd think the default condition for the LAN in the BIOS is enabled. Leave it that way.

New drivers aren't necessarily better than old drivers.

You can of course use whatever drivers you want.

I'd use the drivers supplied by the Windows disc and/or Windows Update. If those proved problematic, I'd consider others.

I don't go out of my way to get the newest drivers for anything. If it ain't broke, ...................

just leave bios alone keep the lan and other stuff enabled no need to disable them.
