Dual booting 32bit and 64bit system?
I recently got a game that only run in a 64 bit system and my PC is running on Windows 7 ultimate (32 bit). In order to run the game, I want to make another partition and install 64 bits windows 7 ultimate.
From what I understand, since my PC only has 2GB of RAM, it run faster on a 32bit system. So, I am planning to dual boot (32 bits and 64 bits). For general use, I will just launch the 32 bit windows, then only use 64bit when I want to play game.
Before doing all of the things mentioned above, I got a few questions:
1) Is this the "best" or most effective way trying to achieve what I want?
2) I only have one windows 7 ultimate license, so I am not sure if it is possible to dual boot this way? Or it will automatically activate the license when I install 64bit version since I am using the same PC?
3) Is the steps below the correct procedure?
- Partition my hard-disk
- Boot into windows 7 iso from usb
- Install windows in new partition
- Done?
4) Assuming I am using steps mention in #3, both system will be on the same hard-disk and PC, only different partition. Will I need to install driver again?
Appreciate your help, thanks a lot. :)
