Problem loading motherboard drivers after repair install of Windows 7

After several attempts to fix a very slow Windows 7 PC I decided to do a repair install. This proceeded without any problem and Windows loads very quickly. There is one major problem - my mouse is not working - and I presume this is because motherboard drivers are missing. When I use the MB driver set up disc it loads perfectly but I cannot find any way to start the driver set up. My MB is a Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3.

    Can anyone help?

    Hi smcc42,

I presume you are using a USB mouse so here is a driver for the USB:
    Click me

And then maybe a BIOS update would be a smart to run, sometimes it can fix problems with USB peripherals:
    Click me

    Cheers
    Boris :)

    Sorry, Boris

These links are not at all helpful, especially the second one, which takes me to the Windows 7 Forums home page! My mouse is Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical USB. Surely Windows 7 already has the driver for this mouse.

    Hm, sorry about that.

Well I did link you the USB and BIOS drivers but now thinking about it a chipset update might come in handy also.

But I need to know, what is your motherboard because in your system specs you have listed a Biostar G41D3+ as your motherboard but here in the thread you are talking about a Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 but which is it?

Well now that we have gotten that in order, I would recommend you to download and install the Chipset and USB3 drivers from here: GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-78LMT-USB3 (rev. 4.1)
