Can windows7 be installed from a USB flash drive?

As far as I know, the USB port needs Windows drivers to work? So it can't be installed from a flash drive? Is there any logic in what I'm saying?

I don't know about logic, but you certainly can install from a USB drive.

Depends on the BIOS capability of the computer. Pretty much all of them built in the last 10 years or so are capable of booting to a USB device.

Only a USB3.0 port needs 3rd party drivers, USB2.0 does not. Thats why you should always install from a USB2.0 port.

Just know this, with a USB stick install, you don`t make any boot order changes in the menu, just use the boot menu usually (F8) to boot from the usb stick.

Do this the first time and that`s it when the pc reboots, the install should then continue just as if you were using a dvd.
