Windows 7 Can't find nor create partition, installing from DVD

SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Hi, I followed the website and tried method 1 and 2. When I go to select the drive it still says that it can't install to drive because it can't create nor find a partition. Installing to an internal HDD, installing from a Windows 7 Ultimate CD. Reason for reinstall is because the hard drive that held windows died on me.

Create and use a Partition Wizard Boot CD to setup the drive.

Delete the drive to unallocated space if you have no other partitions with data on them.

Then create a Primary partition, format, align, and set it active, right click on the drive in question and everything is in the drop down menu.

Click apply in the top left corner, let PW do it`s thing, when it says it`s completed, remove the PW disc, insert your W7 install dvd and restart the PC.

You should not have anymore problems doing the install :)

No, the ones already part of my computer setup. I decided to go ahead and install Windows 8.1 on a 500GB external. Alls good but...none of the internal hard drives show up under Computer. The only one I really care about is the 2TB because it has all my games pre-installed on it. I used WinToUSB.

Do they show up in Disk Management ?

If they do, post a shot.

Sure thing. As i also included, they show up in device manager but only the Toshiba(the external hard drive where windows is running from) shows up in Diskpart when i thought I could just assign a letter to the drives.

    UPDATE!!!!
Never mind. I was under the wrong window and not the one under This PC right click > Manage > Disk Management > Online each hard drive. Apparently a policy i set upon installing windows offline all my hard drives. :/
