    Windows 7 reinstall


    I have an ASUS Z87-A MB and when i insert the disc, restart and go into BIOS and select my CD drive to boot first my WINDOWS 7 disc doesn't load up it just goes straight to my log on screen

    You did not change the boot sequence in the BIOS.

    During the installation on the disc, in advanced options i deleted my second drive HDD thinking i was erasing my old files but now its not showing up in my C drive

    That`s because it does not have a letter,, if you deleted your 2nd hard drive then it is now unallocated space. You have to create a partition out of it, format it and give it a letter.

    Another drive will never show up IN your C drive, and C is the name of a partition, not a drive.

    If you get your install finished, post a shot of Disk Management and we can advise you on what to do next if you still need help.

    Hi, figured that one out but got a new problem and its serious

    WD Elements no data

    I've lost everything

    Well you said you deleted your 2nd drive, so you erased your data, oops.

    This is why you ALWAYS unhook all other drives when installing windows.

    See if Partition Wizard will recover the data. or rebuild the partition.

    I know my Pro version does, but I doubt if the free version will.

    Although, it most certainly says it does :)

    Only on my built in HDD.

    Will this recover my data on my external HD
      My Computer
