Trying to clean install windows [Error 0X80070057]
Seen a couple of posts on here regarding this Error. I've tried SO MUCH to try and resolve it over the past few days.
Basically, I bought a new drive a few days ago for a new PC build - bought two actually. SSD + HDD.
Installed windows onto the SSD as my main boot drive obviously, but when I try to install it onto the secondary HDD drive it doesnt allow me to format the drive to do it, or doesnt allow to install the OS on the system. It was working for a day or two, then stopped. So I tried to clean and reinstall.
It does register the drive on the system, I've also tried replacing both the SATA cable & the SATA Power Cable with no luck.
I've also tried most of the steps listed from the other threads. Such as deleting the partition and remaking it using the Disk Management Tool, tried accessing diskpart through CMD. It registers there, but doesnt allow me to clean it and reformat it to ntfs to install it. Just continues to stay as RAW format, and I'm completely unsure about how to change this.
I've also tried it in another SATA port, tried checking the RAM etc, all that works fine with no problems as I can boot from the SSD fine. Plus I've tried formatting the drive manually through CMD, which completed, but said it did it with some errors, but didnt make any change to the situation.
not really sure what to do now in regard to fixing the issue, and starting to have some doubts the drive might be on the road to failing on me, which seems kinda odd considering it's brand new and it did work for a few days. Any help would be much appreciated.
