Reinstalling Win7 on a system with dynamic disks and Raid 0

Please help!
I have Win 7 installed on an ssd drive and data on a 2 disc Raid 0 dynamic disk setup using Win 7 (stupid I now understand)
After a few crashes I decided to clean the dust from my PC, on reboot the OS started fine but no data. I discovered one of the raid discs was not recognised in the BIOS. I checked the cables, still no drive, I moved cables and the drive came back but this time no OS, system was hanging after CMOS back up success. I stripped the system down to basics (only OS drive, no Graphics card, checked RAM) and still couldn't get the OS back. I tried system repair using the DVD still no joy. I used a different HDD and loaded a fresh copy of Win 7 but it can't read the Raid drives. They are both dynamic and foriegn in disk management. I can also read all the data from the original ssd drive and that checks out ok with no errors but still won't boot. to top it all my back up drive has just died.
Is there any way to get the fresh OS to read the Raid drives? Should they be automatically readable?
Any Ideas on getting the original OS on the SSD bootable again? I'm wary of doing a fixboot or fix mbr as I don't know if this would affect the Raid recognition.
Panic over I used the Import foriegn discs from disc manager
