Clean Install - Pro SP1 - Update, Driver Problems & High Memory Use
Been at this for a week. Re-installed multiple times.
Used legit Pro SP1 DVD & a separate SHA1 verified .ISO from USB (includes Hotfix KB2534111) - Same problems exist
Have wiped HDD multiple times using Disk Management, GParted and something else (I forget)
Webroot SecureAnywhere installed immediately after OS install: System Scans clean
PROBLEMS:
Windows Update will not Update - no updates are retrieved
Cannot install NVIDIA driver - says no compatible hardware found
High memory usage by svchost.exe - x10 processes that range from 1,229,752K to 1,732K
ATTEMPTED RESOLUTIONS:
- Followed all the steps from How to Fix: Windows Update Won't Update | www.infopackets.com (uploaded PDF of the webpage for review if you don't want to check the link)
Including: WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab, Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64.msu, MicrosoftFixit50123.msi
- Followed clean install instructions from Clean Install Windows 7
- Located exact driver match for Nvidia and downloaded directly from Nvidia site
- Scanned svchost.exe and verified location in System32 folder
Additionally, in Device Manager I have the following errors that I don't know how to identify:
System Information report written at: 03/03/16 17:37:46
System Name: SONY-PC

At this point after a week of Googling and following forums here and elsewhere I am at a complete loss at how to proceed.
